1888 - Cook's Tours

Thomas met with John Mason Cook son of the famous Thomas Cook and between them appointed Joseph Barter as Authorized Representatives of Thomas Cook. This arrangement included employing a Cook's Man and decorating our offices in the Cook style. This gentleman's agreement survived for well over 70 years!

Part of our arrangement with Thomas Cook included ensuring that the Cook's Man met the various Cook's Tour on arrival and travelling around Ireland.

28 September 1922 - Original White Star Line with Titanic Passenger List

Original White Star Line first and second Class passenger lists from the RMS TITANIC GRT 46,000. The so-called "unsinkable" Titanic was built by Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast and along with her sister ship RMS OLYMPIC GRT 45, were billed " The Largest Steamers in the world". She was indeed the largest ship afloat at her time. Titanic was fit with Marconi's system of wireless telegraphy and submarine sailing apparatus.
