LOURDES is among the most celebrated and well known Marian Shrines in the world and holds an unique interest for the Irish people. Each year millions of pilgrims travel there to pay tribute at the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin and to experience the very special atmosphere of devotion and peace which is to be found there.

Our programme in Lourdes will include visits to the historic sites associated with St. Bernadette and pilgrims take part in the official ceremonies of the Shrine - Eucharistic Procession and Blessing of the Sick and the spectacular Torchlight Procession.

Sample Itinerary:

SUNDAY, 14TH SEPTEMBER:

Flight from Cork to Lourdes. On arrival at Lourdes Airport transfer by coach to the Agena Hotel.
Check-into Hotel. Lunch in the Hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

MONDAY, 15TH SEPTEMBER:

Breakfast in Hotel.
Orientation tour and introductory talk on Lourdes. 40 minute Sanctuary video of Lourdes. Group Photograph.
Lunch in Hotel.
Walking Tour of Lourdes visiting places associated with St. Bernadette, The Boly Mill etc.
Blessed Sacrament Procession.
Dinner in Hotel.
Torchlight Procession.
Overnight in Hotel.

TUESDAY, 16TH SEPTEMBER:

Breakfast in Hotel.
Lunch in Hotel
Return to Hotel for Dinner.
Overnight in Hotel.

WEDNESDAY, 17TH SEPTEMBER:

Breakfast in Hotel.
Lunch in Hotel.
Free time for optional activities.
Blessed Sacrament Procession.
Dinner in Hotel.
Torchlight Procession.
Overnight in Hotel.

THURSDAY, 18TH SEPTEMBER:

Breakfast in Hotel.
Morning free for optional activities.
Lunch in hotel.
After Lunch depart for BARTRES where mass will be celebrated. Followed by a visit to the Lake of Lourdes.
Dinner in Hotel.
Torchlight Procession.
Overnight in Hotel.

FRIDAY, 19TH SEPTEMBER:

Breakfast in Hotel.
Transfer to Lourdes Airport. Flight from Lourdes to Cork.

Exclusions

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS EXTRA:

Cost breakdown is: €39.00 per person up to 79 years of age.

€59.00 per person between 80 and 94 years of age.

Any person who has a pre-existing medical condition will have to get a form completed by their GP at time of booking; otherwise their condition will be excluded. If you have your own travel insurance please supply us with a copy of same. It is important to have a European Health Insurance Card in your possession while in Lourdes.

OPTIONAL TOURS:

Optional Tours will be available to Bartres and Spain at a supplementary cost.
