Costa Blanca Holidays

Literally translated as the “White Coast,” this aptly named stretch of coastline is great for relaxed sun-seeking, family getaways, and party holidays alike. Whatever your vision of the perfect sunny break is, holidays to Costa Blanca promise to deliver a memorable experience.

Spoilt for choice

Costa Blanca’s ivory beaches stretch for over 200 kilometres. With direct flights from both Dublin and Cork, a sunny Spanish retreat is never far away. With its seaside skyscrapers and welcoming character, Benidorm is Costa Blanca’s most popular destination. And given its huge beaches and varied nightlife, it’s easy to see why. But with Javea’s seaside bars and Calpe’s beachfront tapas restaurants close by, Costa Blanca offers a variety of experiences and atmospheres.

Traditional Spanish culture

Away from the palm trees and the warm Mediterranean sea, the quaint streets of Denia or Altea deliver authentic Spanish markets and bistros. And if you’re looking for an even more rustic scene, try the sunny hills to the west of Costa Blanca’s beaches. These offer glimpses of picturesque orange groves, rural villages, and the Algar waterfalls that add a sparkle to any trip. The city of Valencia, itself rich in Spanish culture, is only a 90-minute drive from the white sand beaches.

Outdoor adventures

The local town of Guadalest offers not only a rural escape to the countryside, but also a window into a curious and often forgotten chapter of Spanish history. Its ancient castle dates back to the Islamic era of the 11th century. This mountaintop fortress provides visitors with exceptional views of the valleys below. For a more rugged outdoor experience, take an early morning hike up Montgo Natural Park’s curiously named Elephant Mountain. From here, you can watch the Spanish sunrise creep up over the horizon.
