API, or Advanced Passenger Information is a recently introduced requirement for travellers to specific countries to provide passenger information.
Currently this requirement applies only to certain airlines, but is widely expected to apply to all airlines very soon.
With that in mind, to avoid any problems when you arrive at the airport, we will offer the facility to collect APIS information and pass it to the airlines on your behalf, for all bookings involving flights.
The details required under this service are:
Travellers to the US are also required to provide:
Country of residence
Destination address in the US for the first night's stay, except for US Citizens or residents.
You will be reminded on your booking confirmation of the requirement to provide this information.
Please be aware that the airline generally requires this information at least 72 hours prior to your departure, so please ensure that if you wish for us to pass the details to your airline, we will need to have the relevant details at least 10 days prior to your departure.
For bookings made within 10 days of departure, we will require the information as soon as you can provide it, but no later than 96 hours prior to your departure
For bookings made within 96 hours of departure, you will need to ensure you provide the details to the airline yourself as we cannot guarantee will will be able to process them in time.
Failure to provide details within these timescales means we cannot be held responsible for any problems arising at check-in related to the provision of API.
You may have provided this information before for previous trips and therefore be aware if the process involved, if so you are welcome to do it yourself and it will only take a few minutes (if you are going to provide the information yourself, please do let us know so that we do not chase you for it), however, we do need to advise you that if you do not provide this information you could have long delays at check-in, possible additional charges and could even be refused boarding.
